Established in 1946, Tanneries du Puy is renowned for the traditional know-how of high-end calfskin tanning.
Thanks to their team of almost 140 people, their town quickly became one of the main leather producers, acknowledged for its expertise in the Boxcalf finishing, and became a member of “Fédération Française de la Tannerie”. Acquired in 2015 by their long standing client, HCP, they are committed to keeping their exceptional know-how within their local community.

Sustainable Development
In order to minimize their environmental footprint and to protect the health and safety of the men and women working for them, they are engaged in a sustainable development process. Guaranteeing the safe handling of leather, sharing their know-how, and maintaining their relationships with community stakeholders are all subjects on which they are focused on a daily basis.
Tanneries du Puy is extremely proud of receiving the "Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant" (EPV) label, a sign of recognition from the state that shows their sustainable impact on their community and their engagement to artisanal know-how and industry excellence. This label highlights the high added value of their "made in Haute-Loire" leather.
