Foot Shape Acquisition Method

Synthetic Casting Socks

If you plan to use your custom orthotics with your new custom made shoes, please ask your podiatrist to place your orthotics under your feet during the foot casting process.

Foot Casting Requirements

  1. Each cast must reach 2 inches above the ankle bones in case boot orders need to be placed.
  2. If you plan to use your insoles or prescription custom orthotics, they need to be properly placed underneath each foot while the cast or scan is being taken.
  3. Stand up and place your full body weight on both feet by the time the casts start to harden.
